Silent bomber is an explosive, arcade style action game, playing something like a top-down shooter, but with a twist. Instead of using guns, you use arm-mounted mine layers, which can either set mines at your feet or fire them at an enemy via a holographic aiming reticule.
The main character, Jutah, is an interesting take on the "future space soldier" archetype. He's a war criminal who was forced to commit horrifying acts in the past. He has never forgiven himself, and has become a cold, emotionless man. He sees himself as nothing more than a killing machine. He's a character full of regret, with a jaded heart. The most interesting part is, the game shows you that he really did kill all those people, and it isn't just a false memory, it isn't some villain destroying a villag and getting away, it's a real memory than Jutah has to live with for the rest of his life, a memory that has hardened his heart and made him cynical.
He has been assigned to a covert operation along with other war criminals and spies. Their mission is to destroy the dreadnaught space cruiser "Dante", although not everything goes according to plan...
The gameplay is fast and action packed, featuring huge bosses, a unique take on the arcade shooter genre, a neat upgrading system including various mine types, and an interesting story of redemption and futuristic espionage. I highly recommend it.
